Making Meaning From Mess is a 12-part experiential workshop series offered through the Portland Processwork Clinic for people who want to relate differently to the challenges that arise in relationships, work, and everyday life—not as problems to fix, but as signals carrying information, direction, and potential.

Across the series, we slow things down enough to notice what is usually missed: subtle body signals, emotional shifts, power dynamics, and moments where choice quietly disappears.

Each two-hour workshop focuses on one thing—and goes deep into it. You'll leave with something real: a new way of seeing a pattern that's been running you, a concrete practice you can use the next day, or a felt experience you didn't have before you walked in.

Each workshop stands alone. You can take one or as many as draw you in. No prior experience with Process Work is needed.

The Making Meaning from Mess workshops run once a month, 3 times a day! With two live online options and one in-person, you have plenty to choose from!

EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP CIRCLE: DINING WITH DISTURBANCES & UNDISCUSSABLES

Step into the rooms we usually tiptoe past — where the air is thick with unspoken tensions that quietly shape culture, influence teams, and steer relationships and decisions.

Pull up a chair to the conversations we tend to dodge — the ones marked by awkward pauses and truths left unsaid. Here, we’ll bring those disturbances to the table, name them with skill and humanity, and work with the systemic patterns that keep them alive.

Through live practice and collective inquiry, we’ll learn to stay in the heat — and keep the dialogue moving — when the stakes are high, shifting culture one conversation at a time.

EXECUTIVE LEADERSHIP CIRCLE: THE CONFLICT Sommelier: Developing a Palate for the Heat of Human Tension

Conflict, like a fine wine, has layers. At first sip, it may feel sharp or overwhelming—but with practice, you can begin to discern its notes: fear, unspoken truths, competing needs, buried power. In this circle, we deepen our capacity to stay present with conflict—to taste it fully, track what stirs in ourselves and others, and learn how to move through tension with nuance, courage, and discernment.

No numbing, no running for the hills—just learning to listen, linger, and lead. You’ll learn to slow down and stay with the flavor of tension—tracing its roots, its signals, and your reactions.

We’ll explore how to meet conflict with curiosity and courage, turning difficult dynamics into leadership development gold.

When Helping Has a Shadow: How to Stop Fixing and Start Listening for What Matters (november 2026-Making Meaning from Mess Series)

What if your greatest contribution is not having the answer?

Many of us have been taught that being useful means solving problems. But some of the most meaningful conversations in our lives are not asking for answers. They are asking for attention.

This workshop explores the subtle but powerful difference between helping and fixing.

Presented in partnership with the Process Work Institute.

Feedback Without the Fog (december 2026-Making Meaning from Mess Series)

Feedback Without the Fog (december 2026-Making Meaning from Mess Series)

This workshop explores how to stay clearer, braver, and more humane in that charged moment — especially when we feel hot, right, hurt, or ready to accuse. Before feedback can become useful, we often need to notice our own escalation and come down enough to respond rather than react.

In this workshop, we will work with real situations from participants’ lives where something important needs to be said. Together, we will practise finding a clearer, less reactive way to say what happened, why it mattered, and what might be possible next. We will also notice what changes in us as receivers when feedback arrives with less fog, less blame, and more room for reflection and dialogue.

Presented in partnership with the Process Work Institute.

Befriending the Inner Critic (Making Meaning from Mess Series)

July 22 or July 23, 2026:
Befriending the Inner Critic:
Turn Self-Attack Into Fierce Inner Leadership

What if the voice tearing you down is actually trying, desperately, to help?

About the Making Meaning from Mess Workshop Series:
Making Meaning From Mess is a 12-part experiential workshop series offered through the Portland Processwork Clinic for people who want to relate differently to the challenges that arise in relationships, work, and everyday life - not as problems to fix, but as signals carrying information, direction, and potential.

Each workshop is a stand-alone. You can take one or as many as draw you in.

Across the series, we slow things down enough to notice what is usually missed: subtle body signals, emotional shifts, emerging roles, power dynamics, and moments where choice quietly disappears.

Through guided inner work, interactive exercises, real-life examples, and shared reflection, participants learn to track what's happening within themselves and between people, especially when situations feel messy, charged, or unclear.

Each workshop invites you to bring your own lived experience, experiment with new responses, and build practical awareness skills that support honest dialogue, wiser use of power, and more humane ways of being with one another, particularly in moments that matter most.

No prior experience with Process Work is needed.

THE LEADERSHIP BODY: DECODING WHAT THE BODY ALREADY KNOWS

THE LEADERSHIP BODY: DECODING WHAT THE BODY ALREADY KNOWS

Registrations are closed. Contact us for updates on future cohorts.

A three-month immersion for anyone ready to work at the level where inner wisdom actually lives: in the signals your body sends before your mind interprets them.

Leaders are trained to think fast and communicate with precision. But the body doesn’t follow those rules. It signals before strategy. It warns before conflict erupts. It registers pressure, power, and possibility long before the mind can catch up.

Ignore those signals and you lead with the awareness the moment demands.
Learn to read them and you lead with more clarity, steadiness, and humanity — especially when the heat rises or power is in play.
